You can add your Bank debit card or credit card on Google Pay and enable the NFC (Tap and Pay) feature to make payments at the NFC terminal. You can also pay online and make QR code payments with your added card on Google Pay.

Add Your Debit Card / Credit Card On Google Pay and Activate NFC (Tap and Pay)
Step 1: Open your Google Pay application and tap on the profile picture to open the profile settings.
Step 2: In the profile settings, you will find the “Pay Businesses (Debit/Credit card)” option, tap on the ‘Add‘ option.
Step 3: Next screen you need to choose the “Enter details manually” option to enter your card details.
Step 4: Next screen, enter your debit/credit card 16-digit number, card expiry month and year and CVC (also called CVV) number.
Step 5: You also need to enter your address details and submit.
Step 6: Once you have added your card details and address, accept the terms and conditions and submit.
Step 7: Now you need to complete the verification step to add your card on Google Pay. Select the “Text me a code” option to receive an OTP on your bank-registered mobile number.
Step 8: You will receive a code from your bank at your registered mobile number, enter the code (OTP) and submit. If you did not receive OTP, tap on Get another text to get another code.
Step 9: Next screen you will be asked to enable NFC on Google Pay for your added debit/credit card. Tap on “Turn ON NFC” and proceed.
Step 10: Congratulations, you have successfully added your debit/credit card on Google Pay and now it is ready for payments like NFC (Tap and Pay).
How To View Your Added Debit/Credit Card on Google Pay
Once you have added/linked your Debit card or credit card on Google Pay successfully, you can view and manage it from the settings.
- To check your added card, just go to the “Payment methods” section and here you can see your added debit/credit card. You can also manage your card from here like Block for payments or remove your card from Google Pay.
How To Pay with NFC (Tap and Pay) on Google Pay with your card
- Just unlock your smartphone and tap your phone on the payment terminal.
- Google Pay will open automatically
- Tap on proceed to confirm the payment
- Please create your UPI account to use this feature
- Make sure your phone supports NFC
